Acies will be making another visit to Shalom House (Men's Homeless Shelter in KC). Please join us for this important apostolate!

About the event
What? We will be revisiting Shalom House (Men’s Homeless Shelter in KC). Just like last time, it will involve prepping, cooking, and serving dinner to 24 homeless men, while conversing and socializing with them. For more information about the place, you can click here: Shalom House Website
When? Sunday, November 25; we will leave from campus at 3pm, and be back around 9:30pm
Where? Kansas City (address: 2100 N 13th St, Kansas City, KS 66104); we will carpool to the place (1.5 hrs each way)
Who? Any generous young adult volunteers; last time the spots filled up rather quickly!!
Why? To practice charity (through the corporal works of mercy), and exercise a small apostolate outside of the St. Mary’s bubble. This was really quite the success last time, and everybody (both us and them) seemed to profit from the visit. I hope that this second visit will have the same results, if not better ones.
